Join us on our 30th-anniversary tour for a concert filled with passion, yearning, joy and heartache. Each of our two programmes explores themes of love and desire and will take you on an emotional journey through some of the great works of the repertoire.
Wu Man has caught the world’s attention with her virtual reinvention of an ancient Chinese instrument – the lute-like Pipa. Her performances have relaunched the reputation of this 2000 year-old instrument in the West, with multiple Grammy Award nominations and Musical America naming her 2013 Instrumentalist of the Year.
A free recital in the New Zealand School of Music lunchtime concert series. All concerts in the series are open to the public and no booking is required, although seating is limited.
