A collaboration with celebrated American pianist Diane Walsh in a programme for Chamber Music Wanganui including the second of Beethoven's Rasumovsky Quartets (opus 59 no 2 in E minor), some solo piano pieces by Debussy and Elgar’s magnificent Piano Quintet.
American pianist Diane Walsh has been awarded many honors including the top prizes at the Munich ARD International Piano Competition and the Salzburg International Mozart Competition and further prizes at the Ferruccio Busoni, Van Cliburn and William Kapell competitions. Highlights of her career include recitals at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, Wigmore Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Philharmonia Great Hall in St. Petersburg. Recent reviews have praised her "soulful outpouring," "intelligent virtuosity" and "exquisite care and loving touch."
