About the event
***Tickets on sale 17 November***
The New Zealand String Quartet - Te Rōpū Tūrū o Aotearoa will take you on a journey through Nordic, Celtic and klezmer traditions in a concert that bounces between joy, sorrow and nostalgia.
At the heart of the concert is Last Leaf, the acclaimed album by the Danish String Quartet, reimagining some of Scandinivia's oldest folk melodies. Adding a local voice, one of Aotearoa’s leading composers and accordionists, Ross Harris, has re-scored his vibrant new klezmer works especially for NZSQ.
Fusing ancient and modern, this rich musical tapestry reveals the timeless power of folk music in Aotearoa today.
Presented as part of the 2026 Aotearoa New Zealand Festival of the Arts. Explore their full programme here.
Exclusive presales for ANZFA Culture Club members are open now. Public sales open on 17 November.
