About the event

Join us for an exciting opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Aotearoa’s finest classical musicians. The NZSQ is visiting Motueka Library with a free, whānau-friendly performance of music you may have never heard before. Learn about centuries-old instruments, and discover music from the past and present, including music by young New Zealand composers. This is a relaxed concert of 60mins for all the whānau to enjoy. What is a string quartet? A string quartet is a classical music group made up of two violins, a viola and a cello. They play chamber music, a type of classical music characterised by is smaller groups and intimate settings.
