About the event

We finally have a new major choral work just for men! This exciting composition will be presented for the first time in the Southern Hemisphere and is the 2nd performance worldwide. "When There is Peace" is about World War I and the Armistice, the struggles of soldiers, their loved ones, and the angst that comes along with war and loss of life.

We are very excited about having the world-renowned New Zealand String Quartet to accompany this concert, as well as two outstanding soloists: Rosel Labone (soprano from Wellington) and Lachlan Craig (tenor from Auckland). In addition to the major work, we will be premiering a commissioned benediction, "Deep Peace", written for the Wellington Male Voice Choir by Victor Johnson.

The men's choir will be made up of four groups: Wellington Male Voice Choir, young men from Blue Notes at Tawa College, former and current members of Wellington College Chorale, and the men of Inspirare. This concert will be a landmark experience for all the audience members, so please book your tickets now!
