Warmest congratulations go out to the 28 students accepted. We have 12 violinists, 6 violists, 7 cellists and 3 pianists, comprising seven ensembles – one piano trio, one piano quartet, one piano quintet, and three string quartets.
The 25th Annual Adam Summer School for Chamber Music will be held in Nelson from the 9th to 17th of February 2019. It is generously sponsored by the Adam Foundation, and provides the opportunity for up to 30 young string players and pianists to commit themselves to eight days of intense chamber music-making under the guidance of the New Zealand String Quartet and guest piano tutor, Jian Liu.
This year we are showcasing top young chamber musicians from New Zealand and Australia, performing musical works by Haydn, Dvořák, Fauré, Beethoven, and Mozart.
