About the event
We're thrilled to return to the Regent Theatre in May with two unforgettable concerts. Following our sold-out performance in 2023, we're back with programs showcasing works by renowned New Zealand composers Claire Cowan and Leonie Holmes, alongside notable pieces from the classical canon by Haydn, Brahms, Debussy, and Shostakovich.
Programme One: Friday 10 May, 7.30pm
Leonie Holmes Fragment II
Haydn Op. 71 no. 3
Interval
Debussy in G minor Op.10
Programme Two: Saturday 11 May, 4pm
Claire Cowan Celestia><Terralia
Shostakovich No.14
Interval
Brahms No. 3 in B Flat Op. 67
Both programs, crafted in our signature style, aim to engage audiences with lively and informative introductions to each piece delivered by our Quartet members themselves. These introductions seek to shed light on the stories behind the music, making it an enriching experience suitable for all audiences, regardless of their background or familiarity with chamber music.
